“Le mamme del borgo”: the proud of Motta Camastra!

Below you can watch a YouTube video with English subtitles of a primetime news reporting at TG1 of RAI1 about the “Le mamme del borgo” of Motta Camastra, a small village of a little more than a 500 residents in the Sicilian countryside. And this small town is where my Sicilian roots lie.

It is very gratifying to see that people are heroically trying to stop the depopulation of those small villages in the Italian countryside, especially in the South. At the moment, in my opinion, tourism is the only viable answer.
